[ About the course ]

The course at a glance

Robotics PRO is an engineering and competitive robotics course for teenagers.

Here, students go beyond building models from instructions. They are given an engineering challenge and find a way to solve it: designing the structure, choosing mechanisms and sensors, programming the robot’s behaviour, testing the result and correcting errors.

The same task can have several solutions. Children therefore need to think, experiment and demonstrate in practice that their chosen design and algorithm really work.

The course brings together mechanics, programming, maths, physics and engineering thinking.

[ Practice ]

What students will do in Robotics PRO

01

Programming movement

Control multiple motors, set the speed and direction of movement, calculate distances and turning angles, and create sequences of actions.

02

Working with sensors

Collect and process data from colour, distance, touch and robot position sensors.

The robot must do more than receive information: it must adapt its behaviour to the situation.

03

Building mechanisms

Work with gears, gear trains, wheels, levers and grippers.

Understand which tasks require speed, which require force, and how gear ratios affect a mechanism’s performance.

04

Designing a robot for a task

Line following, sorting parts by colour, firefighting, wrestling in the ring and shooting — each competition discipline needs its own solution.

Team members find their own solutions rather than copying one provided by their coach.

05

Testing and optimising

Identify the cause of an error and improve performance: faster • more precise • more consistent • more reliable.

Children learn not to settle for “it seems to work”, but to find ways to improve their solution.

06

Preparing for competitions

Tackle competitive robotics challenges, work within time limits, test strategies and prepare a robot for real competitions.

[ AI ]

AI — an engineer’s assistant, not a ready-made solution

AI can help generate ideas, review code and analyse errors. But the proposed solution still needs to be built, programmed and tested on a real robot.

AI can suggest a solution.
A competition will show whether it works in the real world.

[ Team ]

More than a course. Team RoboLab.

Robotics PRO is not just a course, but a competitive robotics club for teenagers. Students learn, train and socialise together, celebrate victories and support one another through setbacks.

Individual results are not the focus here. Children learn to work as a team, share tasks, discuss strategy, meet deadlines and take joint responsibility for the outcome.

[ Competitions ]

RoboLab robotics in action

Videos from lessons

Students learn to build and programme robots for a range of tasks: navigating a course or maze, shooting, sorting parts and more.

Team RoboLab at Robotex

The RoboLab school team takes part in the Robotex competitive robotics event every year. Their best result is second place.

Robot helpers

Robots help people carry out complex tasks, save time and offer a break from routine.

[ Result ]

Engineering thinking that goes far beyond robotics

01

Break a complex task into stages

02

Find the cause of an error rather than simply starting again

03

Connect programming with maths, physics and mechanics

04

Work as a team and develop a solution that delivers measurable results

[ Next steps ]

The next step — building your own electronics

Robotics PRO provides a solid foundation for progressing to electronics, engineering programming and more complex robotic systems, including those that use AI.
