TechIsland Awards — Future Shapers
RoboLab is nominated for the TechIsland Awards in the Future Shapers category, which recognises projects that help shape the future of technology.
Founded in 2018 by a team of programmers and enthusiasts who wanted to create a modern IT school, first and foremost for their own children.
The school's first teachers were its founders. Today RoboLab helps children and teenagers aged 5 to 19 learn modern technologies, create their own projects and progress step by step from their first experience of computers and robotics to professional IT fields. More than 400 people study at the school every year.

RoboLab's main goal is to give children aged 5–19 living in Cyprus the chance to study modern IT subjects in person, together with teachers and other students, and to build a young IT community in Cyprus.

RoboLab opens in Limassol. In its first year, 45 students attend the school.
RoboLab starts classes in Nicosia. The same year, the school team takes part for the first time in Robotex, Cyprus's largest robotics competition, in the Robo Sumo category.
The school holds its own coding and design tournament for its students for the first time — RobolabChallenge 2020 — which later becomes an annual event. Due to the pandemic, RoboLab launches a full online learning programme.
Students from more than 10 countries register for RobolabChallenge 2021. Partnerships begin with the University of Nicosia (UNIC) and UCLan Cyprus, and the first graduates receive 30% tuition grants at UNIC.
RoboLab expands and starts running regular classes in Paphos.
Today RoboLab classes take place in three cities in Cyprus and online.
