MC Minecraft Education

Is your child a Minecraft fan? Turn their favourite game into a place to learn

Maths, programming, logic and digital safety — all within the familiar world of Minecraft.

On this course, your child does more than just play. They complete learning tasks in the Minecraft world, solve problems, program with visual blocks, put maths into practice and learn to stay safe in digital environments.

Who Minecraft Education is for

  • ✦Loves MinecraftYour child enjoys spending time in Minecraft and wants to explore its world further.
  • ✦Finds ordinary maths lessons boringSums and exercises seem boring, but a task inside Minecraft becomes an exciting mission.
  • ✦Has not yet taken an interest in programmingA conventional programming lesson may not appeal, but coding inside a familiar game feels very different.
  • ✦Loves exploring and experimentingTesting ideas, looking for different ways to solve a problem and seeing what happens.
  • ✦Learns best through practiceChildren find a new topic easier to understand when they can immediately use what they learn to solve a specific task.

Is previous experience needed?

No programming skills or advanced Minecraft knowledge are needed — your child will learn everything they need in class.

[ Outcomes ]

What your child will learn to do

01

Program with visual blocksCreate algorithms and use commands, events, loops and conditions.

02

Solve maths problemsUse counting, coordinates, measurements, distances, geometry and spatial reasoning directly in the Minecraft world.

03

Develop algorithmic thinkingBreak a large task down into a clear sequence of small steps.

04

Find and fix mistakesTest a solution, understand why it did not work, change the algorithm and try again.

05

Understand the basics of digital safetyKnow the basic rules for staying safe online and in digital environments.

06

Learn independentlyRead task instructions, analyse information, experiment and see a task through to completion.

[ Our approach ]

Minecraft can be more than just a game

We use your child's interest in Minecraft as motivation to learn. The familiar game world becomes a place where maths, programming, logic and digital safety stop being abstract school subjects and become tools for solving problems.

[ The difference ]

It is Minecraft. But your child is doing more than just playing

Playing Minecraft as usual

  • •builds whatever they like
  • •explores the world
  • •uses familiar game mechanics
  • •plays to achieve goals within the game

Minecraft Education at RoboLab

  • ✦is given a learning task
  • ✦looks for a way to solve it
  • ✦uses maths and logic
  • ✦programs with visual blocks
  • ✦experiments
  • ✦finds and fixes mistakes
  • ✦discusses the solution with the teacher

We do not ban your child's favourite game — we show them how much they can learn through it.

The main aim of the course is to learn through practical tasks inside Minecraft. Children explore the world, complete missions, solve maths and logic problems, program and immediately test their solutions in practice.

To your child, it feels like a Minecraft adventure, but every task develops a specific learning skill.

A great first step into programming

Programming in Minecraft Education uses visual blocks. Your child learns sequences, loops, conditions and algorithms without having to write complex text-based code straight away.

After Minecraft Education, your child will find it much easier to continue learning programming, including moving on to the Scratch course.
